Ciao Regi!
Glad to hear you had such a great experience in China! Like you said, keep those memories clear and keep smiling that you were lucky enough experience such wonderful moments.
I understand a bit your feelings about 'coming home'. Whenever i am in my home town these days it seems that all ppl want to talk about is cars, holiday & furniture! But as frustrating as that is, i realised after a few visits that it's unfair to begrudge people these feelings, since they probably have not had the same opportunities that you have to expand their 'fence', as DC would call it...
As Carissa said, in the short term we can use the power of conversation to bring in stories and experiences from our travels, to at least open some windows in these fences. And in the long-term... well it sounds like you are starting to get a clearer picture there, which is great to hear ;)
Wish you a great start to the semester and the very best of luck for connect 2007.
Hugs from your very proud ex-coach :)
Rob
